Cervical cancer caused by some kind of virus called Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). This virus spreads through sexual contact. In Indonesia, cervical cancer is the most disease that killing women in this period. Woman who smoking, produce many children, using contraception pill in a long time, and HIV infected is easy to infected cervical cancer.
How to Detect Cervical Cancer
Cervical cancer signed with the growing of abnormal cell in cervix. It can detected with Pap Smear Test. If we detect it from the beginning, the risk to get cervix is lower. Pap smear is a safe and cheap test and it has been used in years to detect the abnormal cells in cervix.
Sign and Indication of Cervical Cancer
Generally, the sign and indication of cervical cancer is bleeding on vagina after did the sexual activity or in the period between menstruation. Other sign are:
- Lost desire to eat
- Pain on pelvis bone and back bone
- Pain and swollen on foot area
- etc.
How to Prevent it?
It can prevents through vaccination that given to the girl and adult woman. This vaccine called “gardasil”. It has been legitimated on 2006 in United States. Women also have to keep their healthy and the cleanness of their genital area.
The Medical Treatment
- Operation, by take the organ that infected. It could be the cervix or the uterus.
